Welcome to Kristine Barton's Maryland Half Marathon Page

Recently, my grandpa passed away after living a couple of years with cancer. I have never raced a half marathon (or any race that was close to it) and I would truly like to give it my all for him. I will be running the half marathon with two of my best friends Lyle and Jenny! I'm not only looking forward to this amazing experience but I also hope to help donate as much money as possible to help others that are living with cancer just like he did. My grandpa was truly a kind and special man and I would like to remember him by helping others that are stuggling with similar problems. I hope you are able to help donate for my race!

I signed up to run, but now can not because I am recovering from surgery for colon cancer. I was diagnosed three weeks after signing up. I will see you at the finish line!Steve Berry
