The Maryland Half Marathon and Team Relay

REGISTRATION IS NOW OPEN!

Welcome to the Maryland Half Marathon and Team Relay! There are only 500 spots for the Team Relay, so make sure you sign up early! This race is taking place on Sunday, May 23, 2010 at 7:00 a.m. This race is unique in that 100% of all net proceeds are going to the University of Maryland Marlene and Stewart Greenebaum Cancer Center. It is going to be a great race, a great day and we will also be raising a great deal of money for the cancer center!

We have made fundraising as easy as possible! Most of the work has already been done for you. It should take you about 5 minutes and a few clicks of your mouse to complete your fundraising page. Thank you for being a part of this special event. You will feel the gratitude from our patients at the cancer center when they place that finisher medal over your head!

Note: You will also be able to simply register for the race and pay the $75 entry fee without fundraising, but since it takes just 5 minutes and a few clicks of your mouse, we hope you will make the effort!

Plans for the 2^nd Annual Maryland Half Marathon and Team Relay are getting better and better! We are thrilled to have reached close to 500 runners, and proud to say that we’re on track for our goal of 3,000 runners!

Race-Bus Events

We’ve seen many of you at our various “race-bus” events and we can’t thank you enough for your support and enthusiasm. At these events runners are given a free tech-tee if they sign up on-site, and all are treated to refreshments and door prizes. Post-Race Festival

We are thrilled to announce our post-race entertainment line-up! This year’s festival promises to add an extra level of excitement to an already amazing race-day…

Joining us on stage for the Kids Concert is Grammy nominated rock band Milkshake! Known for their mission to bring great rock music to kids, we are enthusiastic to have them out supporting our great cause and entertaining our youngest spectators and “Fun Run” participants.

Following Milkshake, runners and spectators alike are in for a treat when local band The Bridge takes the stage for the Post Race Concert. A unique rock band, The Bridge has become nationally renowned for their amazing live performances and we know we’ll be keeping the festival lively with this great addition.

With many great vendors and participants in our Maryland Half Marathon Runners Village, an energetic and action packed Kids Corner in the works, and these great bands on board for the Kids and Post Race Concerts - the Post Race Festival is sure to be a wonderful finish to the Maryland Half Marathon and Team Relay on Sunday, May 23^rd.
